Neurodiversity Coaching

What makes neurodiversity coaching neurodiversity specific?

I bring my lived experienced as an Autistic ADHDer with me to each session I facilitate, it’s part of who I am and therefore how I work. If you suspect, or know, you are neurodivergent, then you may prefer working with someone who has real-life and professional experience.

I believe everyone has strengths and resources which are often not known about and therefore not used. My job as a Neurodiversity Coach is to help you to discover those resources and find your own unique solutions.

What topic/s can I bring?

• Executive function (time, planning, prioritising, organising, starting and stopping tasks)

• Understanding and processing recent discovery of being neurodivergent

• Advocating for your needs and requesting adjustments

• Self care and wellbeing

• Awareness of and regulating emotions

• Stress, overwhelm and burnout

• Work and/or personal relationship struggles

• Masking and camouflaging of neurodivergent traits

• and more...

Here are some real examples of what previous coachees have said wasn't working well for them before engaging with coaching:

  • Feeling out of control

Working out the jigsaw of my working week every week, managing competing priorities.

  • Executive function

Executive dysfunction is huge for me, and because so much of my role is reactive, I can often find myself frozen and unable to achieve the proactive parts of my role.

  • Prioritising

Not knowing what tasks to do at what time based on work from other colleagues that are given to me which all seem to be a priority.

  • Productivity

I struggle to keep my productivity high and meet my daily targets. Theoretically it seems easy - but, I lose myself. I struggle to focus and pay attention.

  • Work relationships

My relationship with my direct supervisor is fraught and difficult; I think there is an aspect of ADHD rejection sensitivity there.

  • Time management

I struggle a lot to prioritise my time and activities, and even when I make a sound plan, I often don't do what I need to do in the time I have allocated.

  • Admin tasks

I struggle a lot to do admin tasks on time, like submitting my expenses or doing compliance training. These things are invisible in my mind so they don't make it onto my schedule.

  • Managing emails

I simply cannot keep on top of my emails - not even close - so sometimes I drop balls or don't know what's going on because I haven't seen the emails.

What to expect

What's involved?

• You can book a chat with me, where I will ask what's happening now and what you would like to have happen.

• If you think we could work well together, we can schedule your first coaching session.

• Coaching sessions can be booked for 1 hour, 1.5 hours or 2 hours depending on what you feel will work best for you.

• As your goals emerge through the coaching, I will enable you to discover the conditions needed for change/progress/insights to emerge.

• Many people find that a single session gives them great insight and you may need time to process between sessions.

• It is possible to block of several coaching sessions, for example, if you are using Access to Work for coaching, just let me know.

• Sometimes your initial outcome may be very different to the ones that emerge and develop throughout your coaching.
