Where do I start?

What's working, what isn't and what next:

A one-off session for neurodivergent adults or anyone who experiences the world differently.

Book your slot

You might know that things are difficult, but not what would make them easier.

After a diagnosis

You understand a bit more more about yourself, but not what it means for work, home or the people around you.

Waiting for an assessment

You're on a waiting list and want to understand your experience now, not only once you have an answer.

Not sure about assessment

You recognise yourself as neurodivergent and you're not sure whether an assessment is right for you.

Wherever you are, you might be asking:

  • What kind of support do I need?

  • What do I focus on first?

  • What would actually make a difference?

Many people tell me they feel confused and let down, especially after going through a long process only to be left with more questions than answers. If this sounds familiar, you're not the only one.

Why I created this session

I was lucky. In 2022 when I started to struggle in my job, I was working with occupational psychologists, so I had a workplace needs assessment quickly. It helped me understand why some parts of my role were hard and others played to my strengths. It also gave me access to coaching, which was time to understand how I actually worked at my best and what could help me.

Most people I speak to don’t have that. They’re often expected to go through an assessment before they can get any support. I created this session for people who know they need support but don’t know what kind or where to find it.

What this session is

This isn't therapy and it isn't a coaching programme. It's one 90-minute conversation about your experience, at your pace.

Many neurodivergent people are used to other people explaining their experience to them. I won't do that. This session starts with what you already know.

We look at what already helps, even a little. What feels hard. What you want or would like more of and what you want to avoid.

Then we look at what could come next. That might be finding support, changing something in everyday life, exploring further or giving yourself time. You decide.

You don't need to know where to start before you come. That's what the session is for.

What you'll leave with

After the session, I'll send you a short written summary of what came up in our conversation, in your words. It sets out what's working well, what isn't, what you'd like to happen and what you want to avoid, with practical next steps to consider.

The next steps come from what you said in the session, not from me telling you what to do. You can return to the summary whenever you need to and use it however suits you.

How you can use your summary

  • For yourself

    Remember what you worked out

Read it again whenever you need to remember what you noticed and what you decided to do next.

  • With family or friends

Share it instead of explaining everything

Use it to help people close to you understand what's going on for you, without having to explain everything out loud.

  • In appointments and meetings

Take organised, structured notes with you

Take it to your GP, your employer or other professionals, so you don't panic when on the spot.

  • Before an assessment

Start with some of your experiences written down

Use it to help you answer questions about your experiences and the impact these have on your day-to-day life.

Our conversation

We'll have 90-minutes to talk where you can share your experiences at your pace.

Written summary

Sent to you via email within one week of your session date.

Help me develop this

I'm offering 6 pilot places at a reduced price of £50 (usually £150).

In return, I'll ask for your honest feedback on the session and the written summary (this will be via an online form or voicenote in WhatsApp).

If you’ve been thinking about working with me, this session is also a way to find out what it’s like to talk with me before you decide anything. There’s no expectation of booking anything further.
